November 29, 2009 - Schoch Harley-Davidson/Buell

This was the first ride to a destination in PA, Schoch's H-D/Buell in Snydersville. It was cold in the morning so I took it as a chance to test out my brand new Gerbing's electrics. I had the complete set of interconnected items from insoles, to pants, to jacket, to gloves and controlled by a dual controller. I met members of GWRRA Chapter NJ-F (F Troop) at the Cheesequake Rest Area on the GSP and departed there at 9:20 a.m. The temperature was around 40 degrees. When we arrived at Schoch's, there were already many bikes in the parking lot. In fact, it was a bit difficult to find a spot. The weather was extremely warmer than expected for this ride and it brought out a big crowd. The folks inside who had prepared food for us were also surprised by the turnout. They kept the food coming but I, for one, only found cornbread and coffee before I had to leave for the day. Hope you were luckier. By the way, my new electrics worked great but I had to shut them off for most of the return trip -- just too hot out.
